RENT

"Rent" is a musical that follows a group of impoverished LGBTQ+ youth who are all struggling to keep rent and survive in New York City's during the height of the AIDS epidemic in the early 1990s. The story revolves around their relationships, passions, and conflicts as they face challenges of love, friendship, and loss. For the project, I worked with a partner to create looks for 4 of the main characters (she created looks for the other four). We analyzed each character's personality by reading the script and came up with the perfect costume design!
