Who is he?

Gianni Versace is an extremely influential Italian fashion designer born December 2, 1946. His work was best known for being exuberant bold and flashy designs.

Designing For a Dead Designer Project

For this project we researched a dead designer to see how their own life events and historic events happening during their life influenced their designs. Then, we had to sketch a look of our own inspired by the designers style, I chose Gianni Versace.

I used a combination of patterns, materials, and used a tight fitted chain bodice with a poofy skirt to try and incorporate elements Versace used a lot. However, I did incorporate my own style into it with the shape of the bodice and shoulders as well as other small details.
